The DrPEN® Primary Care Directory contains
	ICD-9 Codes.

The information in The DrPEN® Directory Primary Care Edition contains the most commonly-used ICD-9 Codes in Primary Care and may be used for coding purposes as well as for patient education.

The DrPEN® Directory Primary Care Edition is organized into six sections

1. Diagnosis/Condition - lists the diagnosis/condition, ICD-9 Code, the DrPEN® link, the patient education resource and the resource's home web page.

2. V-Codes - This is an excellent listing of patient education information available on the Internet for prevention and guidance to patients.

3. Drugs - For your convenience, we have included this listing of drugs that have their own websites. Patient education increases compliance and encourages patients to take their medications.

Referring your patients to this information should improve compliance rates in your practice. DrPEN® also provides a link to the National Library of Medicine's patient education information at www.drpen.com/drugs.

4. Pharmaceutical Companies - Most pharmaceutical companies make the Full Prescribing Information required by the FDA available for their products on their websites. Many also have excellent patient education information for the conditions their products treat.

5. Resources - Lists the resource patient education organizations separately, along with their individual home web page addresses.

6. Informational Pages - Information frequently needed in daily practice of medicine (e.g. filling out forms, credentialing, etc.)
